Shiv Sena welcomes Sonia Gandhi's letter for welfare of Dalits

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) The Shiv Sena on Saturday welcomed Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's letter addressed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, seeking implementation of certain measures for the welfare of dalits and tribals.
Speaking to media persons here, Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said, "If the Congress party has brought forward an agenda which is in the interest of people of Maharashtra and the state, then it should be welcomed."

There was no pressure politics in it, he added.
It may be recalled that this was the first letter by Ms Gandhi after the formation of MVA goverment in Maharashtra.
