A Bradley Grobler brace helped SuperSport United to a 3-1 victory over Baroka FC at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

The win also saw SuperSport leapfrog Orlando Pirates into third spot on the DStv Premiership standings.

Teboho Mokoena returned from suspension to boost the visitors alongside Luke Fleurs and Thamsanqa Gabuza, while Baroka opted for a change in goal, as shot-stopper Elvis Chipezeze was recalled.

Grobler opened the scoring in the ninth minute and his side went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

The hosts levelled matters in the final 20 minutes courtesy of an own goal by Grant Kekana.

But Gabuza restored SuperSport's lead in the last three minutes with a close-range header and Grobler sealed the victory with his second goal in stoppage time.

It was SuperSport's third consecutive win and sees them up to third in the standings, while Baroka remain in seventh position.
