While delivering the keynote address at Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India’ (ASSOCHAM) Foundation Week 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Tata Group has played an important role in India's development.

Ahead of his address, PM presented 'ASSOCHAM Enterprise of the Century Award' to Ratan Tata, who received the award on behalf of the TATA Group.

Prime Minister Modi called the industry in the video conference to make all efforts to make India self-reliant (Aatmanirbhar).

Speaking about the reforms brought by his government, he said that reforms have changed global perception and past rhetorics from 'why India' to 'why not India'.

He said that the government is focused on manufacturing for Aatmanirbhar Bharat; incentives being given to boost the sector.

PM Modi the industry to adopt best corporate governance and profit-sharing practices.

The world trusts Indian economy; record FDI, FPI during pandemic testimony of that: PM Modi.
