One-way traffic was resumed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Saturday, after remaining suspended for maintenance on Friday, while the national highway, the only road connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir, and the Mughal road remained closed due to accumulation of snow and slippery road conditions.
The traffic was resumed this morning on the national highway, the only all-weather road linking Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, after a day-long suspension on Friday to allow the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to undertake weekly maintenance and repair work.
