Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha wants Shivpal

Lucknow, Dec 18 (UNI) Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar has met Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Singh Yadav to include him in Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha, an alliance of small parties, for 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

Mr Rajbhar said in the meeting with Mr Yadav on Thursday, he talked about giving a strong alternative to the people against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The SBSP chief said he was optimistic about Mr Yadav joining the alliance.

As per sources, Mr Yadav will meet Assaduddin Owaisi before the joining the front of which AIMIM is also a part. They might discuss the seat sharing for the polls.

On Wednesday, Mr Owaisi had met Mr Rajbhar in Lucknow and announced fighting the Assembly polls with the Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha.

On the other hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has said his party will not field any candidate from Shivpal's traditional Jaswantnagar seat if he joins the SP. He has also announced making Shivpal a Cabinet Minister if SP comes to power.

However, Shivpal has said that he wants a respectable sharing of seats. So far, Apna Dal (Krishna Patel group), Quami Ekta Dal and AIMIM have shaken hands with the Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha, formed under the leadership of SBSP president Mr Rajbhar.
