In an interview with ETimes, she spoke about how she had prepared for this emotional role. Vrushika revealed that she took inspiration from Urmila Matondkar's Pyar Tune Kya Kiya role. She said, "A recent sequence on Yeh Rishta required me to get quite aggressive and throw things around, and seem like an obsessive person, for which I really prepped up to the best I could. I took inspiration and kept in mind Urmila Matonkar's body language & behaviour from the film 'Pyar Tune Kya Kiya'. Keeping in mind her conduct and the way she portrayed her emotions, I went with the same style and flow, which made it an even better experience for me while showcasing my emotions throughout the scene." "I even heard 'Raundhe Hai', an emotional song from the film before the scene which helped me get into that excessively emotional mood. I have followed such methods in the past too, as I find keeping in mind certain performances and characters while acting out my own bit very helpful as it gives me a great push to get the right kind of mood and role portrayal that I am exactly looking for," she added.
