Slot-booking for non-agricultural land registrations mandatory in Hyderabad

The state government makes it mandatory to book slots for non-agricultural land registrations in Hyderabad. This has been said in a circular that has been issued by the commissioner and inspector general of registration and stamps.

The circular, issued on December 15, said that advance slot booking should be made on the department’s portal https://registration.telangana.gov.in. Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary, December 16 conducted a meeting with bankers and talked about the new registration process for agriculture and non-agriculture lands and cleared their doubts about registration. 

A presentation with full details was made on the banking and mortgage module. The bankers will cooperate with the government in the full process of registrations. At the time of the slot booking, the applicant should fill in the data providing details of the transferor, transferee and the land transacted, the circular on slot booking for registration said. 

Based on the land details that are provided, the market value of the land shows up in the system, the circular said. Stamp and transfer duty and registration fee that have to be paid for the transaction is auto-calculated by the system itself. The amount would have to be completely paid at the time of the slot booking.

The department owes no responsibility regarding covenants of the documents, the circular said. V. Seshadri, commissioner and inspector general said that the sub-registrars should verify the list of prohibited lands for registration.
