WB speaker refuses to accept Suvendu Adhikari's resignation, cites discrepancies in letter
West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee on Friday refused to accept the resignation letter of TMC MLA Suvendu Adhikari as it does not conform to the provisions of the Constitution and the rules of the House. "I have examined the letter a d found that date isn't specified in it. I hadn't been informed that his (Suvendu Adhikari) resignation is voluntary and genuine. So it's not possible to accept it. I've asked him to appear before me on 21st Dec," news agency ANI quoted the Speaker as saying.
