Kashmir’s winter tourism

Kashmir acquired its popularity from the beginning of human civilization. The magnificence of Kashmir, the northernmost geographical region of India, spread its glory all through the world. That is why; this paradise attracted the attention of several great conquerors and travelers, intermittently. Allah has blessed Kashmir with several resources. One among them is the picturesque and beautiful landscape of Kashmir Valley.

Silent valleys, flowing rivers, immaculate lakes and forests, and calm environs have a deep massage for all nature and peace lovers worldwide. If we take enough care of these natural resources, they will fill our pockets with riches as well. Tourism is an equally important subject just like Agriculture, Horticulture, etc. Every section of this gorgeous place is covered by beautiful Margs and lakes, many of which are yet to be explored. Every one of us knows there are many attractions that need immediate attention of the government to be brought on the map of tourism. These undiscovered places must be recognized to raise the position of this blooming sector.


The Mughal emperors were the pioneers of gardening in Kashmir, history has facts about it. Long before the Mughal gardens, the rulers of the Shah Mir dynasty had laid out beautiful gardens in the valley. In addition, the Sultan’s, the merchants and other rich inhabitants also loved flowers and gardens. The Mughal’s contribution to Kashmir can be seen in their large number of gardens with fountains and cascades which they built at several beauty spots in the valley. These gardens are well-known all through the world. The tiring efforts of the Mughals in turning the scenic spots, remotely set into health resorts produced a healthy and beneficial effect on the economic life of the people.
