MANGALURU: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bajrang Dal will hold a protest demanding the government to hand over the pro-terror graffiti cases to National Investigation Agency (NIA) near Mangaluru taluk office on December 23.
VHP Mangaluru zonal secretary Sharan Pumpwell said that the investigation into the pro-terror graffiti case should be inquired by the NIA. βIt is suspected that anti-national elements are trying to launch terrorist activities by writing pro-terrorist literature on the walls.
The police have arrested three people in connection with the case and there are possibilities of a terrorist network link. It is also a matter of concern that the investigation officers have recovered books related terrorism and provocative speeches of a Jamaican leader from the accused. The swift action of the police should be appreciated,β he said.
The VHP and Bajrang Dal delegation has already brought to the notice of the police about possibilities of terrorist links in Dakshina Kannada distrct. β We have requested the police officials to recommend an investigation through the NIA. We also condemn the recent incident of assault on a police head constable Ganesh Kamath and request the police to take action against the miscreants,β he said.
