The year 2020 saw a new record for total spend on mobile apps and games, on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Apple devices continued to rule the app revenue, with 65 cents of every dollar spent going to Apple devices. Google Play Store too saw close to 30% jump. Top categories where iPhone users spent were Games, Photo and Video and Social Networking. For Android smartphone users, it was games, entertainment and social.
