VBA extends support to farmers, holds demonstration in Aurangabad

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Dec 17 (UNI) Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi on Thursday staged demonstration in support of the ongoing farmers’ agitation against the three recently enacted agricultural acts that are deemed as "anti-farmers" by the farm bodies.
Led by state VBA spokesperson Amit Bhuigal, party leaders Siddharth Mokle, Prabhu Bakle and Yogesh Ban, among other activists, gathered in front of the Collectorate and sloganeered against the Centre.
"The farmers across the country are protesting for the repeal of the agriculture laws but the government is yet to accept the demand", they averred and demanded that the Centre should immediately repeal all three agricultural laws.
In a veiled attack at the tripartite Maha Vikas Aghadi government, they said, "All the three parties Shiv Sena, the NCP and the Congress have supported the farmers' movement."
"If the role is genuine, the ordinance amending the anti-farmer APMC Act should be immediately removed and strict implementation should have been made in the winter session by making clear provision in the law to ensure the MSP," they added.
Lastly, they submitted a memorandum of their demands to the local administration.
