Trend Micro Cloud One – File Storage Security is, according to the company, the world's first cloud-native, fully serverless file storage security tool for organisations building applications in the cloud.
Cloud One – File Storage Security provides automated anti-malware scanning of cloud-based file and object storage.
The lightweight, cloud-native serverless scanner detects known bad files, looking for hidden or changing malware variants.
It helps meet compliance requirements for anti-malware scanning of cloud files while maintaining data sovereignty.
"Global organisations are increasingly looking to public cloud providers to drive IT agility, cost savings and business growth. But while the provider deals with security of the cloud, the customer is responsible for everything inside their cloud environment," said Trend Micro ANZ technical leader Mick McCluney.
"This is a highly scalable, automated scanning tool that's fast to deploy with no added infrastructure, allowing organisations to confidently store cloud files and data associated with their cloud applications."
Trend Micro Cloud One – File Storage Security is available now for AWS S3, with support for Microsoft Azure Blob storage and Google Cloud Storage coming soon.

Now’s the Time for 400G Migration
The optical fibre community is anxiously awaiting the benefits that 400G capacity per wavelength will bring to existing and future fibre optic networks.
Nearly every business wants to leverage the latest in digital offerings to remain competitive in their respective markets and to provide support for fast and ever-increasing demands for data capacity. 400G is the answer.
Initial challenges are associated with supporting such project and upgrades to fulfil the promise of higher-capacity transport.
The foundation of optical networking infrastructure includes coherent optical transceivers and digital signal processing (DSP), mux/demux, ROADM, and optical amplifiers, all of which must be able to support 400G capacity.
With today’s proprietary power-hungry and high cost transceivers and DSP, how is migration to 400G networks going to be a viable option?
PacketLight's next-generation standardised solutions may be the answer. Click below to read the full article.
