UP: Ex-Minister's son held for forgery

Lucknow, Dec 17 (UNI) Former Cabinet Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati's son Anil Prajapati was on Thursday arrested from the Gomti Nagar Vistar area of the state capital.
He had been booked under a disproportionate assets and forgery case at the Gomti Nagar Vistar police station.
Brij Bhawan Chaubey, the Director of the company had registered the case against Anil. The Lucknow police was in search of Anil for a long time.
Anil Prajapti had come to meet his father Gayatri who had gone for a court hearing. According to sources, Police Commissioner DK Thakur got information about this on a phone call, following which he was nabbed.

Brij Bhawan is a former acquaintance of Gayatri Prajapati, who was a Minister during the Samajwadi Party (SP) government. Chaubey was the Director of Gayatri’s company. Chaubey himself had registered a FIR against Gayatri, his son and others.
