Claro Brasil and John Deere partner on farm connectivity project

Claro Brasil has partnered with farm machinery manufacturer John Deere on a rural connectivity project for around 15 million hectares of crops in 2021. Through the 'Campo Conectado', Claro will install mobile base stations and data transmission systems on rural properties, based on the mapping of interested farmers conducted by John Deere. An estimated 250-300 base stations, equipped with 4G technology, will be installed by the operator next year, according to Broadcast Agro.
