PATNA: The railways has cancelled four more pairs of special trains either originating from or passing through the stations falling under the jurisdiction of the East Central Railway (ECR) from December 16 to January 31, 2021. The step has been taken in view of sense fog and poor visibility prevailing in the most vulnerable sections of the North Central Railway.
According to ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar, the Jaynagar-Amritsar special (04673/04674) will not run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 16 to January 31. It will also remain cancelled during its return journey on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“While the Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar special (044005/044006) will be cancelled till January 2, the Dibrugarh-Lalgarh special (05909/05910) will not run from December 16 to January 31. Likewise, the Dibrugarh-Amritsar weekly special (05933/05934) will be cancelled from December 16 to January 29,” the CPRO told this newspaper on Wednesday.
He added, “The Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar special (02367/02368) will not run from Bhagalpur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from December 17 to January 28 and from Anand Vihar-end on Wednesdays and Fridays between December 18 and January 29, 2021.
