Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani, arrested in the TRP manipulation scam, was granted bail by a magistrate’s court on Wednesday.
His lawyer Niteen Pradhan said the bail was granted on a cash surety of Rs 50,000. Khanchandani was arrested on Sunday and had submitted a bail plea on Tuesday. Arguing for bail, he cited the state human rights commission directions to the crime branch to respond to a complaint of his alleged illegal arrest.
