Priyanka slams Centre over decision to not hold Parliament Winter Session

Priyanka slams Centre over decision to not hold Parliament Winter Session

New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) Congress Secretary General Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday hit-out at the Union Government for not holding Parliament's Winter Session this time in view of Covid-19 pandemic, accusing the BJP dispensation at the Centre of organising the last session for favouring their crony capitalist friends ,but, not for discussing farmers' problems.

Ms Vadra said that the government held the Monsoon session despite the serious COVID situation during those times and to favour their crony capitalists passed the three new agriculture reform laws. Now the farmers are protesting against the provisions in the laws, while the government is neither talking to resolve their problem nor calling the Winter session to discuss the same.

Taking to his twitter handle, Ms Vadra said, 'holding the Parliament session during COVID times the BJP government passed the new agri-laws made in favour of their crony capitalist friends, however, despite the sacrifice of 11 farmers and Baba Ram Singh's suicide they are not holding the Winter session for the discussion over farmer bills. So much ego and insensitivity."
