Inauguration of ADR Centres at 5(five) districts viz. Thoubal, Bishnupur, Ukhrul, Churachandpur & Senapati on 11th December, 2020
Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organized the E-inauguration of 5 new Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centres at Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Senapati & Ukhrul districts today, the 11th December, 2020 at 12.15 PM.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, Chief Justice, High Court of Manipur & Patron-in-Chief, MASLSA inaugurated the 5 new ADR Centres through virtual programme conducted using JITSI MEET.
The 5 new ADR Centres are located at the court complexes of their respective district. Smt. Golmei Gaiphulshillu, Member Secretary, MASLSA gave the welcome speech and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kh. Nobin Singh, Judge, High Court of Manipur & Executive Chairman, MASLSA gave the introductory speech of the programme.

were present in the inaugural function through video conferencing.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, Chief Justice, High Court of Manipur & Patron-in-Chief, MASLSA stated that ADR centres are being established with an aim to provide equal facility and infrastructures to the remote and outlying districts of the state and to reduce the number of litigation cases in the state.
ADR centre are established to resolve disputes through mediation and amicable settlement. His Lordship urged the District Judiciary, District Bar Associations and the public to make use of the newly inaugurated ADR centres to amicably settle their cases through mediation and counseling.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks from Smt. Nungshitombi Athokpam, Secretary (Law & Legislative Affairs), Govt. of Manipur.
