Model turned actor Milind Soman is a versatile actor. He started off with Alisha Chinai's music video and has worked in Hindi, Marathi, English, Japanese, Tamil and Swedish languages. Milind who is renowned for his appearances in films like Bheja Fry, Paiya, and 16 December opened up about his vision in the field of acting. The 16 December actor stated that he didn’t join acting to make his career or make a name, but he just wants to enjoy acting. Further, he said that he loves to explore new things that surprise him, rather than repeating the same character.
Milind Soman was seen interacting with the media on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Expressing his views more on it Milind said, “I love to explore things that surprise me. Things that I haven’t seen done before or commonly done. For an actor, this is what actually they want. They want to play a new role every single time. Sometimes the directors, producers, or the audience love the character played by you and they want you to repeat it again. This is trust upon an actor. And actors sometimes come on it, their entire life ends up playing the same character”
“But for me and I think for a lot of actors it’s not satisfying to do that. For me, it’s not a question of taking a risk, because it’s not a career for me and I have not come here to make a name for myself. I have come here to enjoy acting. So I choose whatever I want to do maybe films, web series or television. And I make sure that I am focused on my work. I also see that while working I shouldn’t feel that I have done this role before” added Milind.
On the work front, Milind will be seen in the web series Paurashpur, it is a fictional period drama, the latest offering from ALTBalaji and Zee5, starring an incredible ensemble of Annu Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, Poulomi Das, Sahil Salathia, Shaheer Sheikh, and Flora Saini. The show will be directed by Sachindra Vats and produced by Jaasvand Entertainment.
The synopsis of the web series reads: When the lust for power becomes uncontrollable, rebels are born and history is made. Women rise and fight for their rights. Paurashpur unfolds stories of power, betrayal, and politics of the royal family.
It will stream on 29th December.
