BJP leaders demand resignation of Chandrakant Patil, Samarjeetsinh Ghatge for party's defeat in Pune Division Graduate & Teacher's constituencies elections

Kolhapur, Dec 15 (UNI) In a visible sign of rift in the district unit of BJP, the party's chief secretary Shivaji Buva on Tuesday demanded that state president Chandrakant Patil and district president Samarjeetsinh Ghatge should resign from their respective posts owning moral responsibility for the defeat in recently held election to the Pune Division Graduate and Teacher's constituencies of Maharashtra Legislative Council.
In a statement here, Mr Buva and P D Patil, former Hatkanangale tehsil president, demanded that both Mr Patil and Mr Ghatge should tender their resignation letters immediately owning moral responsibility for defeat in recently concluded Pune Division Graduate and Teacher's constituencies elections of the Legislative Council.
They alleged that both Mr Patil and Mr Ghatge were not serious about these elections leading to defeat of the party's candidates and hence they should resign immediately.
