Romania's Ancom receives EC's OK for broadband deregulation

Romania's telecommunications authority Ancom said it has received the green light from the European Commission to adopt its position on reviewing the relevant markets corresponding to local access services provided at a fixed location and of central access provided at a fixed location, for mass-market products. After looking at the market's dynamics during 2015-2019, Ancom concluded that these wholesale markets remain competitive and therefore need not be regulated.
