New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll in 2022, its national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Tuesday as he accused political parties in the state of doing nothing but stabbing people in the back. In a virtual press briefing, Kejriwal said development and progress in UP had been held back by its “dirty politics” and “corrupt leaders”. New Delhi: Eminent aerospace scientist Roddam Narasimha (87) died in Bengaluru on Monday. President Ram Nath Kovind said Narasimha’s demise is a huge loss to the world of science and technology. “An authority in fluid dynamics, he was honoured with Padma Vibhushan and many other awards. Case filed over Saif’s Sita abduction comment
Jaunpur (UP): A case has been filed against actor Saif Ali Khan here for his recent “justification of Sita’s abduction by Ravan” whose sister Surpanakha’s nose was chopped off by Lord Ram’s brother Lakshman. Husband arrested for Tamil actor’s suicide
Chennai: Tamil actress VJ Chitra’s husband Hemnath has been reportedly arrested for abetment to suicide almost a week after her death. Chitra was found dead in a hotel room on December 9. Hemanth had expressed anger over a few scenes of Chitra in her show. He had pushed her, said ACP Sudarshan. IANS
