Protests against rising petrol, diesel, gas and essential commodity prices: Youth Congress

Odisha, Bhubaneswar, 16/12/2020:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream has become a laughing stock. Over the past few months, rising prices for essential goods have deprived the general public of sleep. Now, the Youth Congress has accused Lalita Bida of raising the price of petrol, diesel, and gas. It is clear that the price of petrol and diesel in the international market is Rs 46 per barrel and how it is being sold in the market at around Rs 85 per barrel. It appears that both governments are robbing people of their taxes. Which is having an impact on the general public.

Gas prices have risen by Rs 100 to Rs 720 in the last one month. So the Youth Congress wants to warn both the Central and State Governments to control the price hike or else the Youth Congress will respond in the streets for the benefit of the general public. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who represents Odisha, has failed miserably in his department.

The state government is also not cutting taxes to increase its party funding. Bhubaneswar and Khordha District Youth Congress presidents Ranjit Patra and Swagat Kar today, at the urging of state youth Congress president Dr. Smriti Ranjan Lenka, protested against the unreasonable hike in petrol, diesel, gas, and essential commodities. The effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were cremated. At present, the entire human race is not free from the Karona epidemic, while the patriarchal attitude of both the state and the central government has been observed.
