The credit for making Dalgona coffee a social media star goes to South Korean actor Jung Il-woo. #Dalgonacoffee made it to the social media pages of Debina Bonnerjee, and BTS members RM and Jimin!

Zoom parties

Birthdays are special, but party venues went virtual this year, just like everything else. In no time, one was inundated with Zoom links for birthday celebrations spread across continents... Odd hours, but the warmth of family and friends around, even though virtually, made many a birthday special. Charlize Theron posted on Instagram, “My first virtual birthday party... I think my mom fell asleep 5 min in. Thank you to everyone for the bday wishes! 2020 has been a rough one but today was a bright spot for sure.”

Board games

Amongst the many trends that 2020 brought along, board games were restored to their pre-video games era glory. From ludo to snakes and ladders to cards to scrabble and Monopoly - the humble games were brought down from the shelves and dusted. Katrina Kaif doled out tips too, “Best thing about playing with only two people is u win faster #sequence #missingmyteammates #Friday,” she posted on Instagram.

Household chores

To use all the time at hand, many celebs took to household chores. From washing utensils to doing jharu pocha, everyone learnt to live without house helps! So there were pictures of celebs doing dishes that were flashed online — right from Kartik Aaryan, Katrina Kaif to Julianne Moore!

Channelling the inner artist

The break from routine gave stars a chance to channelise their inner artist. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana indulged his followers with some poetic verses, while Saif Ali Khan took to painting and gardening along with his son Taimur. One also got a glimpse of Ananya Pande, Tahira Kashyap, Sunny Leone and Salman Khan’s artistic gifts.

Going green

The pandemic made a huge push towards sustainability. So, Anushka Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Juhi Chawla and Gwen Stefani took to farming in 2020!

Indoor workouts

This year made people do without things that one took for granted earlier, just like gyms. So, celebs devised ways to stay in shape at their homes. Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sara Ali Khan even posted videos of their home work-out routines.

Quarantine cooking

For some, it was the inner chef that took birth. Some healthy recipes from Shilpa Shetty to besan ke laddoo from Malaika Arora, it was all there.

Watch out

OTT came in handy for entertainment. While Courtney Cox took to good-old Friends, Varun Sharma watched Peaky Blinders.

Turning stylists
