Apple to ramp up iPhone production by 30% in H1 2021 - report

Wednesday 16 December 2020 | 15:54 CET | News
Apple plans to increase the manufacturing of iPhones by 30 percent to up to 96 million units in H1 2021, to meet increased demand, Japanese financial daily Nikkei reported citing unnamed sources. The company asked suppliers to produce around 95-96 million iPhones in H1 2021, a target that may be undermined by an industry shortage of key components, the report said. The latest iPhone 12 as well as older iPhone 11 and SE models would be included in this plan.
