Condemn arrest of MSAD members

NEFIS CONDEMNS ARREST OF MSAD MEMBERS!
DEMANDS THEIR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!

North-East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) condemns the recent arrest of members of student organization, MSAD in Delhi.

It should be noted that the members were arrested for releasing a press statement against the issue of introduction of Sanskrit in schools and colleges of Manipur.

The said press release had used some explicit words against a particular group regarding which the organization had later released a clarification.

The arrest goes against the right to freedom of speech and can be seen as deliberate attempt to curb democratic criticism.

NEFIS demands that the arrested members of MSAD should be released immediately and unconditionally, and the issue be resolved amicably.
