Veikhang area villages laud Additional Chief Engineer

Ukhrul, December 15 2020: The Veikhang area villages of Ukhrul district have expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the visiting Additional Chief Engineer H Dhainachandra for his assurance to construct the portion of the road which, was left out in the ongoing PMGSY road construction.

According to Khathing,.

president Veikhang Hanga Wungnao Long, the blacktopping of PMGSY road from Nungshong to NH-150 Choithar village via Khangkhui ended at Yangui kong and about 3km of the road was left out.

He extended gratitude to the Additional Chief Engineer, for his assurance to include the portion of the road in the ongoing construction to help the people of Veikhang village area.

Secretary, AC Shimreingam urged the visiting officials to complete the construction work before the arrival of monsoon season.

The road connects seven villages of Veikhang and has huge potential for tourism.

Historic places like Khangkhui Mangsor and Harva Khangai are located in Veikhang area villages, he added.
