The government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to open the school for class 10th and 12th from December 18. The colleges will be opened from 1 January 2021. An official said that this decision was taken in a meeting with the school and colleges of School Education and Higher Education Department in Bhopal on Monday.


State School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar said, 'The decision was taken to open a school for students of class 10, 12. This will help the students to prepare for their board exams. The department has asked the school administration to follow the rules of COVID-19 guidelines and sanitization. During this, social distancing will be followed and students will also have to wear masks.

He told that earlier in the review meeting of the Education Department on December 4, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that schools from class 1 to 8 will be opened from April 1, 2021. Students of 5th and 8th grade will be promoted to further classes based on their project work. Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Singh Yadav said that the state colleges will be opened in a phased manner from January 1
