Imphal, December 14 2020: Some unidentified miscreants attacked a residential house at Nongmeibung Seram Leirak, Imphal East district under Porompat police station this morning.

The unidentified miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at the residence of Chakpikarong Range Forest Officer Seram Soshikumar (59) at around 4.17 am today.

Even though there was no report of any human casualty, the explosion damaged some portions of Soshikumar's sanitary pipeline.

It is said that a case has been registered at Porompat police station regarding the incident.

Even though it is not yet clear which group was responsible for the grenade attack, there are reports of one KCP faction making monetary demand from the office of the Chakpikarong Range Forest Officer.
