Time for Mamata Govt and its officials to end "misplaced one upmanship" : Dhankhar

Kolkata, Dec 15 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday iterated that
it's time for the Mamata Banerjee Government and its officials to end "misplaced one
upmanship"
Taking to his twitter handle, Mr Dhankhar said, " Time@MamataOfficial and @itspcofficial
to end misplaced one upmanship. "
" The prerogative to appoint Vice Chancellor vests in the Chancellor as per Act and the
appointment is in exercise of that power," he stated.
" The Search Committee Chairperson is also appointed by the Chancellor and this was the
case here as well. Minimum expectation @MamataOfficial@itspcofficial is to desist from such unwholesome assertions by not appreciating the wisdom of the academic fraternity,
Mr Dhankhar noted.
Earlier, he tweeted, " Under Sec 64(4) of Dakshin Dinajpur University Act, 2018, Prof. Sanchari
Roy Mukherjee, Prof. of Economics, North Bengal University, is appointed as first Vice Chancellor
of Dakshin Dinajpur University for four years or till he attains age of sixty-five, whichever is earlier."

of the Search Committee constituted by the Higher Education Department, Prof. Sanchari Roy Mukherjee of NBU is going to be the First Vice Chancellor of Dakshin Dinajpur University. "
