Prof Amar Yumnam named VC in-charge

Imphal, December 14 2020: Economics Professor Amar Yumnam has been appointed Vice Chancellor in-charge of Manipur University with effect from today.

In accordance with a directive from the Ministry of Education, the Manipur University Registrar issued an order to this effect today.

Prof Amar Yumnam would remain VC in-charge until he is 65 years or a new Vice Chancellor is appointed, says the order.

Notably, MU Administrator Jarnail Singh retired from his position on November 30 .
