Himachal records 435 fresh COVID cases, total cases now above 50K, 11 deaths

Shimla, Dec 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday records 435 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 50,196, while also registering 11 more deaths from the virus dueing the same period.
Nodal officer and Secretary Health Mr Amitav Awasthi said that as many of the 435 people whi tested positive for COVID on Tuesday 120 were found positive in Mandi, 95 in Shimla, 63 in Kangra, 39 in Solan, 25 in Bilaspur, 24 in Kullu, 19 in Lahaul Spiti, 13 each in Chamba, Hamirpur and Una, 9 in Kinnuar and 3 in Sirmaur.
With the 11 new deaths the death toll in the state has now risen to 824. Of the new deaths six people died in Shimla, two each in Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Una.
The break up of the death toll across the state now stands at 226 in Shimla, 164 in Kangra, 104 in Mandi, 79 in Kullu, 65 in Solan, 38 Hamirpur, 45 Chamba, 32 in Una, 25 Sirmaur, 22 Bilaspur, 14 Kinnaur and 11 in Lahaul Spiti.
Of the total cases so far 6,792 are currently active and 42,531 have recovered and 36 have shifted out side the state.

Chandigarh, Dec 15 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President and MP Bhagwant Mann has levelled serious allegations on Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, calling him as a puppet in the hands of the Modi Government at the Centre. Mann said that Captain Amarinder Singh had bartered the interest of Punjab due to his personal 'weaknesses' and to protect the members of his family involved in serious cases of money laundering. He has challenged Captain that if he had the guts, he should go to the farmers movement and tell the Modi government to address the concerns of the country's 'Annadata' by rolling back the three contentious farm laws.
