Karnataka: Revenue inspector, village accountant caught taking bribe in Mysuru

MYSURU: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have caught two revenue department employees red-handed while receiving money from a complainant, who had claimed the employees were demanding money for official work.
Revenue inspector Anil Kumar and village accountant Sathish were trapped by the ACB team at taluk office in Mysuru late on Tuesday.
The employees were caught soon after accepting Rs 30,000 as bribe, according to the ACB sleuths. The duo had demanded money to change a khatha in the petitioner’s name.
ACB SP Suman D Pennekar confirmed to TOI that a village accountant and a revenue inspector of Mysuru taluk have been trapped in their office while taking money.
