2 killed, 10 injured in road mishap in Mohali; were returning from farmers’ protest site

The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital where the two of them were declared brought dead

Mohali, December 14

Two persons were killed and 10 injured after a pickup vehicle they were travelling on reportedly collided with a gravel-laden truck near Bhago Majra village.

The incident took place around 10 pm when the victims were coming back after taking part in the farmers’ protest at the Delhi border.

The deceased have been identified as Sukhdev Singh (63), a resident of Dhadlian village in Fathehgarh Sahib, and Deep Singh (80) of Popilian village in Mohali.

The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital where the two of them were declared brought dead and the rest are being treated. Harvinder Singh Virk, SP (City), said: “A case will be registered against the truck driver.”
