Argentina launches consultation on use of 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi

Argentina has become the latest country to launch a public consultation on the use and allocation of the 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi, following Brazil, Canada and Mexico, among others. According to decision no. 102/2020 issued by Argentina's Secretary of Public Innovation, the use of the 5,925 MHz to 6,425 MHz range for the shared use of fixed and mobile ICT services will be considered. Interested parties are invited to comment on technical issues such as the suitability of the proposed spectrum bandwidth, the detailed operating modes and the characteristics of the devices required for Wi-Fi 6
