Maharashtra: EESL, MSEDCL inaugurate 8MW solar energy project at Devdaithan

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) today commissioned a 7,987KWp solar-agro project at Devdaithan in Ahmednagar district. “The project will provide farmers eight hours of high-quality uninterrupted and cleanly generated power,” said Saurabh Kumar, EVC, EESL.

As a part of the initiative, the power firm’s agri-feeders are being transformed into solar agri-feeders. The project is a part of EESL’s commitment to the state under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana, wherein it will supply the state discom with 679MW of solar power. The project was completed in six months.

EESL has already installed two solar projects in Ahmednagar district, including a 507KW project in Ashwi and 858KW project in Kolpewadi. Under these projects, EESL has transformed feeders supplying electricity for agri-purposes into solar feeders, which are helping 3,000 agricultural consumers.
