A domestic woman tourist was rescued on Tuesday by Drishti lifeguard at Ashwem beach.
According to Drishti, the incident took place around 12.40 pm when she had gone swimming into the sea with a ring buoy at Ashwem beach. Lifeguard Rahul Mahale while patrolling was continuously advising public on beach not to go beyond knee level in water.
However, the woman tourist ventured into deep waters where she was pulled inward by a rip current. On seeing the victim struggling for help, the lifeguard rushed and rescued her safely to the shore on a rescue board.
