NCC seeks views wthin 21 days on MVNO licensing framework

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has launched a draft consultation paper to seek views on the introduction of Mobile Virtual Network Operator services in the telecommunications market. The NCC is seeking comments within 21 days from industry stakeholders and the general public. These will be used to formulate a sustainable and efficient MVNO licensing framework, as well as a conducive regulatory regime to facilitate growth and development of the sector through competitive and differentiated services from virtual operators.

After the consultation period, the will engage in deliberation sessions in an expedited manner to finalise its decisions about introducing MVNOs to the market. A consultation report will then be generated and published for public consumption and awareness.
