Seychelles fortified its relationships with Middle Eastern travel trade

Recently, Seychelles fortified its relationships with Middle Eastern travel trade partners by participating in the Seychelles Tourism Board’s first virtual Gulf Travel Show, organized on November 23rd, 2020.


The two-day virtual event attracted almost 2,500 participants, taking part from almost 59 countries worldwide, with the Middle East Seychelles Tourism Board Office representing the island destination in networking and making the path easier for tourism recovery.


The first virtual Gulf Travel Show made a use of an impressive and user-friendly platform which showed the convention centre, along with a virtual hall, auditorium, and exhibition hall, creating a three-dimensional virtual experience. STB Team was amongst the 40 exhibitors who kept the visitors updated in terms of the destination, the recent measures in regard to safety and products. Whilst visiting these virtual booths, visitors met with the representatives and had could actually look into the essential documents and videos.


The gamified system of the virtual show promoted a dynamic atmosphere with the board leader heartening up the visitors to take part in the different talks and to connect with the exhibitors. Insightful as well as engaging panel discussions, like explaining the trends defined by technology companies, led by leaders, both local as well as international drew in visitors.


To quote Ahmed Fathallah, member of the STB Dubai Team, “This show brought together industry experts, world-class speakers and attendees from across the region all under one virtual roof. STOME will continue to take part in these regional activities to continue to spearhead the gradual restart of the tourism industry. We will always be here for our trade partners and continue to offer and extend the assistance that we can give.” Arranged by TravTalk Middle East, the Gulf Travel Show acted as a platform for all the exhibitors in networking and marketing their products, and at the same time to discover a recovery path for tourism.
