KSRTC employees four-day agitation ends

Bengaluru, Dec 14 (UNI) The stalemate ended as the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees withdrew their four days old agitation on Monday and drivers and conductors started their duties since today afternoon.
Talking to media at Freedom Park, Employees Federation head Kodagihalli Chandrashekar, who was also a farmers leader, said that the government has assured in writing to solve the problems within 3 months and hence the four day agitation was called off.
The KSRTC Managing Director arrived at freedom park with a letter signed by the Minister for Transport Laxman Savadi with nine demands out of ten listed in the letter.
Chandrasekhar said that the services have started and it will be fully operative by tomorrow.
Official sources said that the services have started resuming throughout the State and stalemate on the public transport system has ended.
