Ludhiana, December 13
Players from Guru Nanak Club, Ludhiana, stamped their superiority as they wrapped up three titles on the second and final day of the inaugural edition of the Punjab State 3x3 Basketball Tournament held at Guru Nanak Stadium here today.
They came out triumphant in the girls U-17 and U-19 categories in addition to the women’s section. In the boys U-17 group, the Kapurthala Club romped home champions while the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) emerged winners in the boys U-19 category and the Z Black Club, Kotakpura, clinched the title in the men’s section.
Kuldeep Singh Vaid, MLA from the Gill constituency, was the chief guest. JP Singh, president, Ludhiana District Basketball Association, Teja Singh Dhaliwal and Vijay Chopra, general secretary and finance secretary, respectively, of the PBA, coaches and officials were among those others present. — OC
