Ipak Films organises online dance competition; winners announced

Imphal, December 13 2020: A grand finale of the State level online solo dance competition 2020 organised by Ipak Films Production Manipur was conducted today at Manipur Press Club.

Sayon Industries Pvt Ltd Imphal is the main sponsor of the competition.

Republican Party of India (Athawale), State president, Mahesh Thounaojam, former managing director of MANIDCO/MANITRON, N Joykumar Singh; chairman of Film Forum Manipur, S Mangoljao and proprietor of M/S Purnima Enterprises, Ningombam (o) Ranibala participated the virtual competition as presidium members.

On the occasion, Mahesh Thounaojam lauded the IPAK Films for providing budding artists with a platform to showcase their talents amid the COVID pandemic.

The actor turned politician also stated that he is content to see the competitors being supported by their respective parents.

Altogether 15 contestants competed in the virtual competition.

Meanwhile, during a press briefing held this evening at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak, Rakesh Naorem, secretary Ipak Films Production, declared Lukram Poonam as the overall champion of the competition.

L Poonam was conferred Ipak best dancer award 2020 by the organiser which carries a cash prize of Rs 11,111, a certificate and a memento.

Ipak best make-up, best costume and best choreography award 2020 were given to Lukram Sushmi.

Anjila Naorem; Mayabati Okram; Bemton Khundrakpam and Ningthoujam Kamala bagged the second, third, fourth and fifth positions of the online dance competition respectively.

Ipak people choice award was conferred to Bemton Khundrakpam while Shamurailatpam Sunanda was awarded special jury mention award 2020.It is reported that the prize distribution function will be held on December 14 at the auditorium of Manipur Press Club.
