India: Accident Fire at Chemical Factory Leaves Eight Injured
A fire occurred at the Vindhya Organics chemical factory in Hyderabad, India after a chemical solvent caught fire. Eight workers were injured in the accident out of which three of them are in critical condition.

India – On December 12, a major fire broke out at the Vindhya Organics chemical factory in India at around 1:30 pm. Eight workers were injured in the accident and three of them are reported to be in critical condition. The plant is located in the industrial development area of Bollaram, Hyderabad.
Residents heard a loud explosion after which they saw smoke rising from the plant and informed the local police. Fire services were immediately rushed to the spot. According to news reports, a chemical solvent was kept for some reaction after which it caught fire.
Around 50 – 100 people were inside the factory when the accident took place and at the time of reporting the incident, operations were still underway to extinguish the fire and rescue workers who were reportedly trapped inside the plant.
