WWE: Drew McIntyre speaks about what it actually felt like to climb on the top of Hell in a Cell

Drew McIntyre is a very tough human, but even the Scottish Warrior has his limit. A recent match at Hell In A Cell included a bump off the side of the cell that was the worst one McIntyre has gone through so far.

McIntyre insisted on doing that big spot. He remembered the first Hell In A Cell match at Bad Blood, and he wanted to recreate Shawn Michaels’ famous fall thanks to The Undertaker. He really paid for that nod to the past.

During WWE The Bump, McIntyre discussed that fall off the cell and through the announce table. He said it was the worst fall he’s had in his entire career.

“It really, really, really sucked. It was easily the worst fall of my entire career,” he noted. “For some reason, I thought that table was going to break my fall, but it didn’t.”

Drew McIntyre lost that Hell In A Cell match to Randy Orton. He was feeling it the next day, for sure. McIntyre wanted to recreate HBK’s famous bump, and he pulled it off. He might not have counted on exactly how much of a price that was to pay for a bit of nostalgia.
