The results of the urban body elections in Rajasthan have come. The Congress has managed to win 620 Wards, while independents have 595 wards. BJP had to be content with the third position. It has won 548 wards. A total of 1,775 wards were held in 50 urban local bodies.

Election Commissioner PS Mehra said that on December 11, voting was held for 50 bodies of the state, in which 79.90 percent voting was done. Counting was conducted for all the bodies on Sunday at the respective civic headquarters. In 1775 wards, Congress 620, BJP 548, BSP 7, CPI 2, CPI (M) 2, one of RLP, and 595 Independent candidates won.

He informed that public information will be issued on 14 December for the chairman. Nomination papers can be submitted by 3 pm on 15 December. He informed that the date for filing nominations will be December 16, while on December 17, nominations will be withdrawn by 3 pm. Allotment of election symbols will be done on December 17, immediately after the expiry of the nomination time.

According to the Election Commissioner, polling for the Speaker will be held from 10 am to 2 pm on December 20, while the counting of votes will take place immediately after the end of polling. He told that similarly the election for vice president will be held on December 21.

CM Gehlot congratulated

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has congratulated the party workers on the victory of the Congress. The CM tweeted and said, "I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the candidates who won the municipal and municipal council elections. I express my gratitude to the people of the state who expressed their confidence in the Congress party and won the Congress."

On the other hand, BJP state president Dr. Satish Poonia said that Congress may show a show of happiness in the civic elections, but the mandate is contrary to the power of the BJP and the number of independents is combined despite the power.
