During The Game Awards, Capcom unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming Switch-exclusive game Monster Hunter Rise. The trailer featured new monsters, and gave us a January 2021 release date for the game's free demo.

Two monsters were shown off in the trailer: Bishaten and Somnacanth. Keeping with series tradition, each monster is a unique fight with their own tactics, abilities, and attacks to watch out for. The trailer also shows returning monsters like Royal Ludroth and Great Wroggi.
The demo for Monster Hunter Rise will feature all of the game's core gameplay mechanics, including new ones like the Wirebug and the Palamute.
