MLA of Keirao distributes weaving looms

Imphal, December 13 2020: Lourembam Rameshwor, MLA of Keirao A/C and Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board distributed weaving looms to 50 selected weavers today in an event held at the residence of the MLA in Kyamgei Mamang Leikai.

Speaking on the occasion L Rameshwor said that it is the second time that the Directorate of Handloom and Textiles is distributing weaving looms to the weavers of Keirao A/C with the aim of encouraging the weavers who work earnestly but do not have a weaving loom of their own.

He continued that he is trying to provide weaving looms to the other weavers as well.

He further appealed to the weavers to weave from home and earn money so as to protect themselves from the COVID-19 pandemic.
