Since the attack on BJP President JP Nadda's convoy in West Bengal, the Central Government and Mamata Banerjee have been stunned. Official sources said that in response to the summoning of the three IPS officers of the Union Home Ministry on central deputation, Mamta Banerjee's government on Sunday said that she would not send these officers to Delhi.

In fact, the Center had sought a report from Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar regarding law and order in West Bengal, after which the Ministry of Home Affairs deputed three IPS officers Bholanath Pandey of Diamond Harbor, ADG Rajiv Mishra of South Bengal, and Pravin Kumar Tripathi, DIG, Presidency Range. Called for Delhi. All these officers were in charge when Nadda's convoy was attacked on Thursday last.

Sources said that the Central Government can summon the officers of the All India Services on deputation. Serious disciplinary action can also be taken against these officers if they are found guilty of negligence in duty. Because the cadre of IAS and IPS officers comes under the personnel department and the Union Home Ministry, the state government does not insist on them.
