Imphal, December 12 2020: The joint platform of Central Trade Unions yesterday reiterated their support for the farmers' united struggle against the new Farm Bills.

The statement released by the joint union said, the Government has finally accepted the farmers agitation as pan-India and not just a 'Punjab question' as they used to address it, as shown by the call for representatives from Punjab as well as from other states for talk by Amit Shah.

The joint platform of Central Trade Unions and independent sectoral federations/associations had been closely following the machinations of the Centre, such as planting alleged NLA reports of instigation by Social Justice Fund (SJF) Canada; alleged letter bearing lakhs of signatures of farmers from Haryana backing the Agriculture law and offer to amend laws and many other such deceitful diversionary tactics which have failed to make nay headway against the demand to repeal the three Agri-laws, said the statement.

The joint union has received the next phase of their action programmes by Samyukta Morcha of Kisans and requested to extend help towards it, added the statement.

The joint platform of Central Trade Unions informed all the workers, employees and their unions, irrespective of affiliations to be very vigilant and extend active solidarity to the call of Farmers' Joint Struggle in the coming crucial period, in the released statement.
